The EU Directive 2008/8/EC enters into force on January 1st 2015 and changes the VAT calculation within the European Union. From then on VAT for customers from the European Union equals the VAT in their residence country, previously the VAT were based on the Federal Republic of Germany. VAT paid by EU customers outside Germany will now be directly paid out to the respective member state.
The actual impact of this change is rather small, for example customers from France, Great Britain or Austria will then pay EUR 80,66 instead of EUR 79,99 as of January 1st 2015. This applies to all products and services offered by WoltLab and for products sold in the Plugin-Store.
There are
no changesfor:
- Customers from the Federal Republic of Germany
- Customers from outside the European Union
- Business Customers with a VAT ID
